The way humans and machines interact is changing as a result of technological advancements. That is why we are investing in locally designed and developed unmanned aerial systems that have the capability of changing the logistics paradigm in Nigeria and, Africa at large.
We believe that drones will bridge the gap between medical services and access to medical supplies in the healthcare industry, provide high-end option for goods delivery in e-commerce, avail logistics with a low cost and autonomous alternative and promote a more environmentally friendly mode of moving things from one point to another.
Applications
- Healthcare – A major concern in the country’s healthcare system is the availability of blood, drugs, vaccines when needed during emergencies or otherwise, or collecting biological samples for investigations especially in remote areas. While the healthcare provider could appear on a screen and make a reasonable diagnosis in truly remote areas, making available the medical supplies required is a major constraint. With the use of drones dedicated to deliver medical supplies as at when needed the word ‘inaccessible’ will gradually begin to lose its meaning.
- Humanitarian Aid - Drones are particularly useful for humanitarian aid across large distances or in disaster-prone areas with inaccessible roads because they can fly longer distances and faster than conventional modes of transportation. Drones can carry medical supplies and monitor potentially dangerous emergency situations.
- Logistics – Companies would greatly reduce transportation expenses related to truck capital expenditures such as maintenance costs, diesel, insurance, and more through the use of drones in the logistics industry.
